I will start by saying that Zelda: A Link to the Past is one of my all time favorite games EVER. For those unfamiliar, but it the overhead SNES version of Zelda. I was always sad that there weren't more games for the SNES, but that one had it all. Great dungeons, great boss fights, and alternate universe (effectively doubling the playfield size). This game was immediately on my radar, but when I purchased my refurbished Zelda 3DS XL, it did not include this game with it. I finally saw it at my set price and bought it and I was not disappointed.

    Pros:
    - For those familiar with the SNES game, this will be VERY familiar. It's not exact, but most of the areas resonate with that game. This is helpful in unlocking some of the secrets throughout the game.
    - Game length is good. I wasn't sure how long the game would last for me as I used to be able to beat the SNES game in only a couple of hours. This game lasted quite a while longer. It is loaded with dungeons and boss fights.
    - With the addition of the transitioning to wall-walking (appropriate term?), it adds a new layer into the puzzle solving mix. End boss fight is awesome!

    Cons:
    - Not very intuitive at times. There are points where I had to consult a guide because I was wasting so much time just looking around and not progressing. This includes multiple items that you don't NEED, but you want. I had to do some research to find one or two of them.
    - Dungeon layouts. There are points where the dungeons rely too much on the wall walking, or are just not really that creative. Luckily, there are others that are great. Some of them are too short, but again, there are others that make up for that by being much tougher.
    - 3-D doesn't really help all that much with judging positions. I found at times that I was misjudging jumps and tried switching between 2-D and 3-D, but for me, I still had trouble judging.

Overall, this game is a great mash-up between two games and it works. Boss fights are fun. There are a lot of bonus features thrown in. It was a lot of fun and I wish I had purchased it sooner.

Great game and a nice twist, just be nice if it was delivered to the right address at first. But you are not allowed to trash amazon in any degree and also have to wait days to see if the problem rectifies itself lol. What is the package going to travel to the right address, we’ll maybe the package knows how to read and follow directions lol. Is there a intelligence test for warehouse and drivers lol

It's not very often that an already amazing game is remade and exceeds the original. Link to the past is one of my all time favorite games, and this not only gives an amazing portable version, it builds on it. The ability to take on dungeons with borrowed equipment is one of the coolest added features, allowing the player to switch things up. Highly recommend for any gamer, this is a classic for a reason, and this version is a wonderful way to play it.

I bought this game because it reminded me of the old classic NES Zelda with the top down play. I played none stop for a week and was able to beat the game (with some help from the internet). Zelda Link Between Worlds is one of the best games I've ever played. The puzzles are all amazing. The graphics and game play is top notch! I wish there was a sequel because I would buy it within a heart beat!

I've played the original LTTP a billion times, but I still found this completely refreshing and addictive. It changes enough to make it feel new, while still keeping most elements of the original that made it a classic. The 2D/3D elements are employed extremely well, demonstrating the limits of the 3DS' capabilities.

My only complaints are that it's ridiculously easy (it's near-impossible to get killed), and that all of the items are handed to you near the beginning of the game, which completely ruins a ton of the exploration/backtracking/mapmaking that made the original so fun.

Received a version that only plays on consoles sold in Singapore, Malaysia, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. Nowhere on the page does it say what region you're buying but the 3DS is region locked, so this version is useless to me.
