Since its initial reveal, we've been eager to know when exactly we'll be able to get our hands on Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound for the Switch.
Now, in an update today, it's been confirmed The Game Kitchen (Blasphemous) and Dotemu collaboration will be launching next month on 31st July 2025.
To go with this is a new trailer, which also reveals Sergio de Prado as the main composer of the Ragebound soundtrack.
"With this new trailer, we can now reveal that the main composer of NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound's soundtrack is Sergio de Prado, who previously contributed works to both of the stirring soundtracks featured in the Blasphemous series!

True to the theme of NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound's merging of modern and classic elements, the soundtrack will also include contributions from guest composers Keiji Yamagishi, Ryuichi Niita, and Kaori Nakabai – respectively the main composers of the first three episodes of the original NINJA GAIDEN 8-bit era."
If you're also wanting to give this game a go before the big release, there'll be a demo available during the Steam Next Fest on 9th June. This will give you a "first-hand glimpse" at the game's "relentless action".
Will you be checking out this game when it arrives on Nintendo Switch? Let us know in the comments.

Looks fast paced and action packed. Hope you can play as Kumori the entire game.
I really like the gameplay & announcement video looks great.. Hopefully LRG gets it to make a Physical Nintendo Switch Release
Great jam in this trailer
Buying this AND Shinobi. Slightly looking more forward to Shinobi but this looks great in its own way. Hopefully the controls aren’t wildly different between the two. I plan to bounce back and forth between the 2 and that may be troublesome for me!
İt is not Ninja Gaiden 4 but it looks beautiful. İf İ got the time to buy this game maybe İ will. For me it looks incredible.

Ya, i was really hoping for a true legit sequel to the NES trilogy. But I'm warming up to this. The sprite graphics look really nice, and i like how they've remixed some of the older classic NES gaiden tunes. Visually, it looks far more appealing than LizardCubes Shinobi 4 imo.
I can't wait for this! In the meantime, I'd like to recommend this ultimate Ninja Gaiden NES collection on... SNES: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTVNUnZ-osg
Man, this game looks AMAZING! Can't wait for 31st July.
I'm sorry for Shinoby, but this one comes first lol. I trust Game Kitchen completely after the Blasphemous series.
That snippet of the soundtrack sounds amazing!
I'll be so rubbish at this game but still looking at getting it.
A physical copy would be nice
Physical or not getting. Just because other consoles no longer value physical doesn't mean that's okay everywhere else.
This summer keeps on getting better and better - also expensive, but I'll gladly pay the price both literally and figuratively if it means getting such great games (and of course you can always just wait for discounts anyway)!
The game is from Game Kitchen, so it's a must have for me. Blasphemous 1 & 2 are excellent games and this looks like a faster paced game, but with the same excellent pixel art.
Looks epic
A bit disappointed that the girl isn't Ayane, but still cool
@FormerGameAddict Play-Asia has a placeholder page for the game, and a week ago it said "announcements coming soon." A couple days ago it changed to "out of print / out of stock." Either way, I hope it becomes available soon. I hope it's a retail release.
Just got my copy of The Messenger and began playing. It's rad!
Yes, yes, yes!! I was fretting that it'd skip straight to switch 2.
@FormerGameAddict Here's hopin. Crosses fingers
It's so funny how we kids back in the day debated which 2D ninja series was better, and now they're being revived at the same time and by European developers with great track records, and apparently with games coming out a month apart. Ryu Hayabusa and Joe Musashi can't seem to get away from each other. That makes me think that there should be a classic-style anime with them teaming up, maybe with Strider Hiryu ing them. I think both games are looking fantastic in their own ways and I'm excited for both of them.
Regarding the art style of Shinobi, I didn't like the Lizardcube style for Streets of Rage 4. It didn't feel right to me and I had some technical issues with it. But I have to give the developers credit because they did include an unusual, but in a good way in my opinion, CRT filter. I liked the way that looked and I appreciate they included that to let me play the game in a way that looked appealing to me. It's funny that they didn't reveal that prior to release. But the visual style feels like a better fit for Shinobi because it does kind of resemble the same visual style from Okami, like a painting. Plus, they made some adjustments to the art for Shinobi, such as the game not having such thick black outlines like in Streets of Rage 4, and that makes a big difference. I'm not against 2D games trying a more modern, drawn 2D aesthetic over pixel art, and I think Shinobi is coming along very nicely in that style, though I wouldn't be against them continuing to include their CRT filter.
